Favorite Workout Gear

Happy Friday and first week of spring! I am so excited for spring because by this time of year I am really sick of the cold weather. Spring means that I can finally start hiking and working out outside again. Today I am going to be sharing my top five favorite workout items. Although, I do not like to give excuses for missing a workout, when I forget one of these things at home, I really struggle to make it through my workout.

  1. Camelbak Water Bottle

Okay this is the number one item on my list and may even be my number one favorite item of all time. I have tried every kind of water bottle there is and nothing compares. Everyone who knows me knows that I carry this thing around with me EVERYWHERE, not just the gym. Theres something about the nozzle that makes it so much easier to drink water. I even find that I drink a ton more water in general when I have this bottle compared to any other bottle, cup or glass. If you are trying to drink more water, then I would definitely recommend this bottle, just remember to take the nozzle off every once in a while and clean it out or replace it.

2. Fitbit Charge 2

I got a Fitbit Charge 2 for Christmas this last year and I have been completely obsessed ever since I put it on. It is one of those items that you did not know you needed until you have it and then you cannot live without it. It honestly boosts my motivation x10. I find that if I have not met my step goal by that end of the day, I will go get on the treadmill before bed just to reach my goal. I also really like how it tracks your cardiac fitness and sleep patterns. I would highly recommend a Fitbit to anyone who needs a little extra motivation when it comes to working out.

3. Beats Wireless Headphones

This is another item that I received for Christmas that I can no longer live without. Before I got wireless headphones I used to put my phone in a arm band thing so that the wire could reach my phone to listen to music. Although this worked in allowing me to listen to music while I workout, it is really inconvenient. Every time I wanted to change the song or reply to a text I would have to take the arm band off and put it back on, not to mention the wire gets in the way a lot when performing certain exercises. Needless to say, wireless headphones make my life a whole lot easier.

4. Under Armour Slingshot Running Shoes

I have always been a Nike girl when it comes to tennis shoes, but recently I tried Under Armour shoes after being disappointed in Nike’s style options. I can honestly say that I have fallen in love with the Under Armour Slingshots. They are meant to be for running short distances, but also work great for training and even short hikes, as they are super lightweight and comfortable.

5. New Balance by J Crew Athletic Wear

J Crew has been collaborating with New Balance for quite some time now, and I can’t help but keep coming back for more. The designs and quality are amazing!! These cherry print shorts are sold out but they have cherry print leggings with a matching cherry print crop top on sale right now.
