Everyone has that one item in their closet that they go to time and time again. The item that is central to their own unique style and truly makes it their own. For some people this may be a jewelry item, a jacket or even a pair of sunglasses. Whatever it is, it is the one thing that could literally describe your style in one word. For me the word is loafers.
Ever since I bought my first pair of Steve Madden loafers many years ago I have been completely in love with what loafers bring to my personal style. They make me feel put together and polished, a truly classic piece that easily elevates any look. Not only that, but I also love the comfort and ease loafers bring to my life.
By now I own at least a dozen pairs of loafers. Of course I love my classic black pair with the gold buckle and my seasonally appropriate maroon pair, but lately the pair I have been reaching for are these tan driving loafers from Eastland. I love how simple, timeless, and classic they are, as well as how comfortable the soft leather is. I can walk in them all day without my feet getting sore (this is a big deal for me because I have very wide feet and other shoes tend to blister my feet).
Recently I wore my Eastland loafers paired with this tan sweater blazer and a black turtleneck for a trip to the Broadmoor. This may be one of my favorite looks of all time!
I also wore them in some of my graduation pictures. I love how they were able to make a simple outfit of a pair of jeans and a t-shirt look instantly better.
