A white button up shirt is a staple piece that every girl should own. It’s a staple for good reason too, it goes with everything! In fact, I naturally gravitate towards white shirts in general because of how versatile they are. With a white shirt your bottom options are endless!

Although I love a classic white button up shirt, sometimes it’s too hot for long sleeves. That is why I am absolutely in love with this short sleeved white button up for summer. It actually is not a full button up, it only buttons up half way and there isn’t a collar like a traditional white button up. Even though there is not a collar and it only buttons up part of the way, I think that it is still very classy and sophisticated. The sleeves and bottom hem have ruffles, which only adds to my love for this shirt.

I paired this shirt with an army green skirt, wedges and a straw bag, which made for a perfect outfit for brunch in old Littleton. But I think this outfit would also make a good running errands or vacation outfit as well. Pair it with a pair of dress slacks for work or a pair of jeans for a more casual look. Because the shirt is white you could easily pair it with almost anything you already own. After all, who doesn’t love a good staple piece?
